This has been quite the month for me and it’s just flying by. We’ve been out of town 4 times this month and I am exhausted to say the least. Not to mention I’m still trying to finish my bedroom makeover. If you missed the last update you can read about it here. While I am trying to get my self back on track I want to share this quick easy update to a Goodwill candle holder.
I think I need to frequent Goodwill everyday to find something good. I always seem to miss out. But, on one of my trips I found this candle holder but not loving the color. So, what do you do when you are crafty? You paint a metal candle holder.
I wanted it to match this candle I had.
So, obviously the black and silver was not going to work.
I painted the candle holder with DecoArt Rich Espresso metallic paint.
One coast was all I needed. You can see how well it covered the silver and black.
Then I just used a napkin and rubbed some black acrylic paint to the candle stick.
Just keep wiping until the black is in all the crevices. And, That is all there is to it.
Now I have a candle holder that matches my candle.
Don’t remember what it looked like before the gold??? Here ya go…
It was a super easy and cheap project. And, a great way to paint a metal candle holder to match your candle or room.
