There is nothing worse then opening up a pantry and seeing a chaotic mess. And, who says that pantries have to be boring to look at. Add some color in that little space and brighten it up. That is exactly what I did. I organized the pantry and gave it a colorful makeover. I will show you how easy it was.
This is what a started out with and it made me crazy to look at my pantry looking like this. I am way too much of an organized person to find this acceptable. And, don’t judge I have a teenager in the house that likes to eat crap food.
First thing I did was take everything out of the pantry and removed the shelves.
I already had an idea of what I wanted to do and I wanted to make it bright. So, I ran to my two favorite stores Hobby Lobby and Lowe’s and bought some paint and fabric. I choose Valspar Mango to match the coral and aqua fabric.
I bet you are wondering what the heck I am going to do with fabric in the pantry. Well when you have spray adhesive you can do anything. I painted the side walls with the paint and covered the back wall with the coral fabric. I also covered foam board with the aqua fabric to cover the wire shelving in the pantry. I do not like wire shelving it makes it difficult for things to stand straight up.
Not sure about this idea??? Take a look and tell me what you think.
HAH! I knew you would love it. Now it’s time to organize the pantry and make this makeover beautiful.
A few baskets and containers and you have an organized pantry.
Here’s a few before and after’s. It was an organized pantry makeover that took a couple of hours and completes my one of many house hold projects.
