Well after months and months of hard work Operation Kiss Me Goodnight – Bedroom Makeover is finally complete. And, I am totally in love with my master bedroom. It’s always been my favorite room in the house now it’s REALLY my favorite room.
Do you remember what my bedroom looked like before I started this project? If not here’s a looksy!!!
It’s a small bedroom and everything was brown, brown and more brown with some orange.
As you can see when we moved into the house the end of February I had no ambition to even hang a photo.
Did I ever mention how much I despise white walls?
I’ve been wanting to paint this bedroom set for quite some time and now that I finally took the plunge, it was time for a complete makeover. I wish the colors would have came out exactly the way they look in the bedroom but the painted wall and my camera had minds of there own.
Are you ready? Come on in to my room….
I painted the wall behind my bed teal and the rest of the walls a cream color. And, redid my oak bedroom set with Annie Sloan chalk paint. You can read about it here.
I bought a new bedroom comforter set and made my own no-sew pillows and covered my lampshades with fabric.
I made the 3D picture collage over my bed and bought new curtains. I actually saw the curtains first and that’s how the color chosen for my room started. Darn Bed, Bath & Beyond! And, I finally hung my photos.
And, to give more room on the dresser we built the dresser shelf. I also covered the box on the dresser to match the room.
Here’s a look at some of the new accessories to the room and some of my favorite photos.
I painted this wedding photo that was taken when The Mr. and I got married at Dafuskie Island, SC.
This is the most cherished piece of art in my home.
I hope you enjoyed my bedroom and here’s a few before & after’s …
So as you can see Operation Kiss Me Goodnight-Bedroom Makeover was a complete success.
