We all know my anguish in not having a sewing machine. I am optimistic that I will open my front door one day and a crafty fairy will have left me the most beautiful sewing machine, EVER! Oh to dream. So for now I will stick to my stitch witchery and iron, it seems to do the trick just fine.
I bought the most beautiful fabric for my bedroom makeover and want to make some throw pillows with it. And, what’s a girl that doesn’t have a sewing machine to do? She makes no sew pillows…easy peasy!!
I have made several no sew curtains but this will be my first no sew pillows. I just needed my adorable fabric and some poly-fill.
I cut out two squares the size of the pillows and placed them together with the back sides facing out. Then I took the stitch witchery and placed between the two pieces of fabric and Ironed.
I did this all the way around the pillow with the exception of a 6 inch opening.
I pulled my pillow right side out through this opening and then I started stuffing the pillow with the poly-fill.
I just took a piece of stitch witchery and placed it in my opening seam and ironed the seem closed.
Once the seem is ironed you have a smooth edge all the way around the pillow.
And, now I have a beautiful decorative throw pillow for my bed. Actually I have a pair of these now.
I also made a rectangle pillow as well. I cut my fabric the size and length I want and added a different design fabric to the ends of the pillow.
Flip the fabric so the bright design side is back to back and then I just closed my seams with stitch witchery.
I did the same as I did my bigger pillow to the outer edges with my 6 inch opening for stuffing.
And, after it’s stuffed and I closed the opening I have another decorative no sew pillow for my bed.
